G-day, the Landsdown htl on King St and Parramatta Rd is the only alternative place that consistently has free original bands in Sydney, the restaurant is good too.

Saw alot of good punk bands whilst at the Sth Americian sandboard tittles in Lima, Mira Flores on the beach is safe and nice and has a good backpackers called the flying dog. As they say use the older cabbies in Peru as they're safer.
